What do I need to do if I am a guest?

- Record the podcast
it is that simple!
Ok you want more details… You will have been previously contacted by the show appear as a guest at some point in the future. The topic is generally of your chossing for the podcast and or by agreement to have you as a guest talking about a topic you know and love.
Once you have been contacted and all the items are agreed a date will be set in which both yourslef and the host are free.
90% of the time the recording of the Podcast is remote, host and guest join via Riverside. However, in person podcasts will also occur from time to time.

How do we record the Podcast?
We use an application called Riverside, now the show is audio only no video and unlike other platforms that save your recordings directly to the cloud, Riverside saves it on your device first. This helps maintain recording quality regardless of internet connection.

Do I need to be at a laptop /PC to make this work?
Riverside use the browsers - Edge and Chrome for recordings. You will receive a link in an email similar to https://riverside.fm/studio/james-rivers-studio in which you can join the session.
Can I record this on my Cell phone instead?
Yes this is possible. But remember, this is an audio podcast so your audio quality is required. Either;
- Have the phone close to your mouth
- Have plugged in ear and speach headphones
- Have BT earbuds with built in Mic
What happens once the podcast is recorded?
- A copy of the edited version pre publication will be sent to you for review 7 days at minimum before the podcast is to be released.
- The podcast artwork will be created, if you wish to provide a headshot for the artwork, great!
- Biography, please send over your bio and this will be added to the show notes.
- Inclusion of important links, if there are links to be added to the show notes - please share them prior to podcast release.
- Episode name - we want the guests to choose / come up with the episode name;
- Insights Into … your name for the episode here!
